It was BT Enhanced Tech that were familiar with the issue and provided the solution ie. 08001114567 BT Tech Support do not know anything about these issues and could not help at all during the month I had the local positioning problem a couple of years ago. Also, I am concerned the problem will come back if upgrade to Fibre and I get the default smart hub 6 and find I am on channel 6 not channel 1, as the interference problem is still present on channel 6. There does not appear a way to contact manufacturer to get the info directly. I would probably have to buy second hand but I would need that range of router 4 model manufacture line numbers to check correct model ie. Anybody know what router 4 model numbers in the manufacturing line were automatic switching and those later which were non automatic switching or how I can get that info? If my router 4 becomes faulty I would have to get a model 4 version which has automatic switching as I have to be on channel 1 not 6. BT Enhanced Tech Support were aware of the mid manufacturing non automatic switching change (precipitated by complaints re the automatic channel switching earlier versions of router 4) as the cause and they told me to switch back to my old router 4 as it automatically switches to channel 1 which did not have the satellite signal interference or whatever interference was affecting my location. If I change back problem instantly comes back. When I replace the new router with the older automatic channel switching router I am located correctly at my home address. I have local or non local interference on channel six which appears to interfere with my satellite signal so that I am located 80 miles away. BT had changed at some point in manufacture the new router 4 to fixed channel (channel 6). However, this replacement router created another problem, satellite signal interference.

However, a replacement new router 4 was sent to me in hope of fixing another unlinked problem which it did not fix. My first router 4 automatically switches to channel 1 which has no interference.

My devices Samsung wireless tablets are not compatible with final confirmation button on channel switching BT page which is greyed out so cannot confirm changes. I did not have to do that with my smart hub 4 which was plug and play.

I am under sales pressure to switch to fibre but I am told that I initially have to go online to bt website to channel switching page with the smart hub router 6 that comes with fibre.
